GOOD FOR THE \u2018NON RIDER\u2019 AND \u2018BEGINNER\u2019 RIDER<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going out for an outride into the surrounding countryside, This usually takes approximately one hour. This gives you an introduction to horse riding and is especially perfect for children and first time riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An outride on the hill and into the forestry plantation. It normally encompasses going up and down hills and crossing a stream or two. This usually takes approximately one and a half hours. This is a relaxed ride in the countryside. There is some beautiful scenery and the dogs usually follow along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two hour trail Ride<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Price: R500.00 per person participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GOOD FOR THE \u2018NOVICE, INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED\u2019 RIDER<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explore the surrounding countryside and forest plantations. This involves riding up and down hills, going on forest roads and tracks and crossing a stream or two. It usually takes approximately two hours. This is a relaxed ride in beautiful scenery and the dogs usually follow along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Longer trail rides can be arranged on enquiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find out your riding ability<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Non rider<\/strong> = someone who has not been on a horse or has been riding once or twice. Non riders generally want to try something new and maybe nervous at first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginner rider<\/strong> = someone who is comfortable in the saddle & can stay on a reliable well school horse.  They can post to the trot (go up and down) and may have cantered a few times. Beginners generally ride once or twice a year on holiday with their partner!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Novice rider <\/strong>= someone who is comfortable in the saddle & enjoys a reliable well-schooled horse.  They generally ride at a riding school once or twice a month, or like to ride a friend\u2019s horses on the farm.   They can post to trot comfortably and enjoy a nice controlled canter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Intermediate rider<\/strong> = someone who rides regularly and enjoys a forward going, well- schooled horse.  They may or may not be a little nervous for the first little bit while they get to know their horse.  They can control their horse independently and are confident trotting and in controlled canters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Advanced Ride<\/strong>r = someone who is comfortable on most horses in most situations.  They ride regularly and may or may not have their own horse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What else you should know<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Wear long trousers or jeans with closed flat shoes or sneakers. Be prepared to sign an indemnity for your activity. Bring a small backpack if you want to take water with you when riding. I take photos along the ride which I then publish on the Stormy Hill Facebook page so that you have a record of your horse ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
